Just four miles from the heart of London Highbury and Islington are compact yet diverse, stretching from the edges of the City at Farringdon and Old Street to the boundary of Haringey.

Transport

Both Highbury and Islington residence have access to over ground, underground and mainline services including;  Angel Station – (Northern Line), Highbury and Islington – (Overground and Victoria Line), Old Street Station – (Northern Line, National Rail services) and Caledonian Road Station – (London Overground). There are also bus routes that run throughout the night.

Highbury and Islington have various parks and outdoor spaces some of the most popular and largest being Highbury Fields, Islington Green, Gillespie Park, Caledonian Park which is home to the nineteenth-century Cally Clock Tower and the New River Walk Garden that runs over half a mile through Canonbury following the course of the New River. Along with some smaller and more exclusive spots such as St Georges Garden and Culpeper Community Garden to name a few.

Highbury and Islington are home to an abundance of designer brands, high street favourite’s and independent boutiques. Camden Passage is the prefect spot to find vintage and antique goods, with a weekly market offering a mix of vintage and retro clothing, pictures, collectables and fabrics.

Dining

Highbury and Islington offer a varying selection of independent food stores, local markets, coffee shops and restaurants taking influence from across the globe. The weekly Islington Farmers’ Market that takes place on Penton Street is one of the finest places in the borough to find artisan produce.

Culture

Highbury and Islington have a diverse cultural scene with a number of world renowned theatres such as the Almeida and Sadler’s Wells, along with an array of community theatres.

There are an abundance of art galleries in the area offering a variety of styles including Modern and Contemporary.

It is also home to Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium as well as the Arsenal Museum.

Schools and Education
